We have a foundation

We have finally broken ground and i couldn't be more excited. We live about and hour and a half away from the homesite, so i am not sure how often we will get out there, but hopefully next week we will see some progress.

Feeling disappointed with our Lot choice

I have been reading everyone's blog's for a few weeks and decided to create my own. My name is Carrie and we are building a Florence near Rochester NY. Today was our pre-construction meeting and i have been looking forward to this meeting for a few weeks, and i ended up walking away so disappointed. The lot we chose is in a neighbor hood that was started by another builder 5 years ago. Our lot has a hill at the back of the lot which my husband loves, and i do not. The home next to use was built by the old builder and our house will extend 8-12 feet past the end of their house, and our front yard is so large it eliminates the majority of the back yard. 

We are suppose to break ground last week, now i am scrambling to try and pick a new lot. My original first choice is already sold. Here are a few pics of the lot.
